Shay Mann is president and founder of SMP Outdoors, a professional project management company and ad agency.

With over 11 years of Information Technology experience, Shay brings a unique combination of technical aptitude and a quest for high adventure to the SMP team. Having worked in both the public and private sector, Shay has garnished a broad skill set in both IT project management and technical applications.

Shay is not only an IT professional, he is an accomplished archery hunter and outdoorsman. He has first hand knowledge and experience of what it takes to excel at a mentally and physically demanding sport. Shay has hunted throughout all of the West. His discipline, skills, love of the outdoors, business acumen, pursuit of the latest technological advances and network of other industry professionals allows him to be highly successful in the outdoor industry.

An Oregon native, Shay Mann received his B.S. degree in Computer Science and Business Information Technology from Southern Oregon University.

Wil’s passion for turkey hunting started 9 years ago and in that time has harvested 16 toms. Two of which will be placed in the Oregon record books next edition. By spending many days in the field and hunting with the best in the state, he has mastered the art of turkey calling and claimed the title of 2003 and 2005 Oregon State Turkey Calling Champion. Competing against the big guns in the state really made it tough and he became first turkey caller to represent Oregon at the Grand Nationals held in Columbus Ohio last February.

Wil Askew shares a passion for the outdoors that includes writing, photography and hunting. Wil has hunted many species and has successfully taken elk, mule deer, blacktail, whitetail and turkey with both bow and firearms. These hunts have taken place around the northwest and even Hawaii for wild goat. Wil is an avid archery hunter and competitor in 3-D competitions in Oregon & California. Spending most his summer getting ready for archery elk in the rugged wilderness of Oregon. Wil and his hunting companions backpack miles away from roads to get up close and personal with the quarry they hunt.

During the spring you might be able to catch Wil conducting a seminar where you will learn tactics, game care, calling and photography. Learning how to produce quality photos that will last much longer and will generate conversations for many days after.

When not stomping through the woods you will find him at home with his wife, Danielle and daughter Bryce. Both avid archers and outdoor enthusiasts.

Wil received his B.A. degree at the Art Institute of Seattle in Seattle Washington.
