SMP Outdoors is an Oregon based Information Technology Consulting Company, located in Wallowa County. Shay Mann is in his 5th year of owning and operating SMP Outdoors, and has over 13 years of IT experience, including 9 years of technical management.

Shay moved his operation from the Southern Willamette Valley in 2007, when the call of the mountains, and the peace and serenity of Wallowa County impressed on him to make a change.

In 2006, Shay and SMP Outdoors, along with local horse clinician Barry Cox started an Eagle Cap and Hells Canyon Wilderness horseback packing outfit named Del Sol Wilderness Adventures. Operating under special use permits by the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest, Del Sol has increased sales each and every year, and has provided an opportunity for the public to enjoy the Wallowas in a way that most have never experienced.

SMP Outdoors has helped brand Del Sol Wilderness Adventures into a viable business, with the use of a consistent marketing message, advanced sales techniques and a lean, cost-cutting operating approach. Del Sol Wilderness Adventures will be a staple Wallowa County business for many years to come.
